Airwars Assessment

Last Updated: June 11, 2025

Four men were killed and a number of others were injured by alleged US airstrikes on the Water Authority building in Al-Mansouriyah District, Al Hudaydah, Yemen on April 1, 2025.

Initial reports from @TvAlmasirah stated that “martyrs and wounded” had resulted from the US “targeting” of the Water Authority building in Al-Mansouriyah. A post from Faris Abu Firas Al-Tabi’i reported that four people were killed by American attacks on the Water Authority building, and provided their names: Wadih Ahmed Saeed Al-Humairi, Malek Ahmed Saeed Al-Humairi, Omar Ayash Khalifi, and Saeed Mashhour. A memorial message from Raouf Al-Mazjaji also mentioned that Ali Abdullah Jabali had been injured, and wished him a speedy recovery.

Mwatana reported that the US airstrike, which occurred around 11pm, killed three workers and injured two others, as well as extensive damage to the “targeted” facility – the Water Corporation facility.

Bashir Ghaleb Al-Khazmi posted a photo collage with images of all four of the men who were killed. Abu Bashar Al-Hamri Badil wished condolences to engineer Ahmed Saeed Abdul Karim Al-Humairi on the loss of his two sons, Wadih and Malek, who were killed “while they were pursuing their civilian studies there”. The post included an image which reportedly shows the Water Authority building before and after the strikes. In the after image, the building can be seen completely destroyed and bystanders can be seen photographing the rubble.

In a video posted by @TvAlmasirah, a man being interviewed describes the bombing as an attack on a civilian facility and identifies two of the men killed, whose bodies can be see wrapped in blankets in the background, as “a guard of the water station facility and a worker”.

Image posted by sources Waseem Ahmed Hassan Hassani, @YEMENNEWS1x, and @v_alalamnews have not been archived within this incident as it has been identified as relating to previous airstrikes in Yemen.

Where sources attributed the strikes to a belligerent, all sources identified the US as responsible for the attack, and multiple local sources referred to the nature of the attack as an “airstrike”.

This assessment was updated on April 29, 2025 to include additional information from Mwatana.

This incident was updated on May 16, 2026, to include imagery and assessment from the Open Source Munitions Portal (OSMP).
