Al Jazeera Mubasher's correspondent reported that the director of the West Khan Yunis Police Station, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Ahmed Al-Darbashi, was martyred as a result of the Israeli occupation forces' bombing of his house in the southern Gaza Strip, early Sunday morning. Footage showed the first moments of the targeting of the Al-Darbashi family's home, and the martyr being taken out of the scene in the southern Al-Buraq neighborhood, west of Khan Yunis. The General Directorate of Police in the Gaza Strip condemned the assassination of Lieutenant Colonel Al-Darbashi, as a result of a direct targeting of his house by Israeli occupation aircraft. The directorate affirmed in a statement that it "will continue to carry out its duty to protect the security of citizens despite the bombing and targeting," and that "the malicious efforts led by the occupation to spread chaos in the Gaza Strip will not succeed."

أفاد مراسل الجزيرة مباشر باستشهاد مدير مركز شرطة غرب خان يونس المقدَّم محمد أحمد الدرباشي، جراء قصف الاحتلال الإسرائيلي منزله جنوبي قطاع غزة، فجر اليوم الأحد.

وأظهرت مشاهد اللحظات الأولى لاستهداف منزل عائلة الدرباشي، وإخراج الشهيد من المكان في حي البراق الجنوبي غربي مدينة خان يونس.

وأدانت المديرية العامة للشرطة في قطاع غزة اغتيال المقدَّم الدرباشي، جراء استهداف مباشر لمنزله من قِبل طائرات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي.

وأكدت المديرية في بيان أنها “ستواصل القيام بواجبها في حماية أمن المواطنين رغم القصف والاستهداف”، وأن “المساعي الخبيثة التي يقودها الاحتلال لنشر الفوضى في قطاع غزة لن يُكتب لها النجاح”.
