Unlike previous Israeli attacks on Iran and the IRGC’s military facilities, particularly air defenses, the recent Israeli strike hit several Mexican neighborhoods in central Tehran, including Narmak in eastern Tehran and Patrice Lumumba in western Tehran, further pushing the limits of Israel’s war logic. The number of civilian casualties remains unclear, but Iranian domestic media reported that around 50 wounded people were taken to Chamran Hospital following Israeli strikes on areas in Tehran. At least 35 of them were women and children, according to ISNA. A resident of central Tehran told Al Jazeera that one of the Israeli strikes hit the busy Sharara Street in the Iranian capital. Sharara is located near the city center, just minutes from Khomeini Hospital and a few streets from Tehran’s Museum of Contemporary Art.

برخلاف حمله‌های پشین اسرائیل به ایران و مراکز نظامی سپاه پاسداران، بالاخص پدافندهای ضدهوایی، طی حمله اخیر ارتش اسرائیل، چندین منطقه مکسونی در مرکز تهران، از جمله نارمک در شرق تهران و پاتریس لومومبا در غرب تهران، مورد اصابت قرار گرفتند و بدین ترتیب حد و حدودهای منطق جنگی اسرائیل یک پله به جلوتر آمد.
تعداد کشته‌ها و زخمی‌های غیرنظامیان همچنان روشن نیست اما رسانه‌های داخلی ایران گزارش دادند که در پی حملات اسرائیل به مناطقی در تهران، حدود ۵۰ مجروح به بیمارستان چمران منتقل شده‌اند. به گزارش ایسنا، دستکم ۳۵ نفر از آن‌ها زن و کودک اند.
یک ساکن مرکز تهران به الجزیره گفته است که یکی از حملات اسرائیل به خیابان پرجمعیت «شراره» در پایتخت ایران اصابت کرده است.
شراره در نزدیکی مرکز شهر، تنها چند دقیقه با بیمارستان خمینی و چند کوچه با موزه هنرهای معاصر تهران فاصله دارد.
