Ashraf Abu Qatta, a resident of the Al-Ta'abin area in Al-Zawayda, works for a cleaning company at the Nuseirat clinic. He only receives a salary of 700 shekels every few months. Abu Qatta supports a family of several people, all of them children. He lives in a house covered with tin sheets and is on the verge of collapse, amid extremely difficult economic conditions. This simple citizen, whose facial expressions reveal the suffering he endures, can barely manage a kilo of flour or a kilo of pasta to feed his hungry children. Sometimes, they go to bed without dinner because food and bread have run out. Abu Qatta's wife also helped as much as she could by arranging food and flour. As the saying goes, "She covers herself and her home." She never complains and always says, "Praise be to God, she is covered." When this poor wife heard about the distribution of nutritional supplements in Deir al-Balah, she was overjoyed. She quickly headed out in the morning, carrying her young child, to receive these supplements to feed her hungry children, who hadn't tasted these supplements for several months, despite seeing them with the merchants. There was nothing she could do; she couldn't buy anything. While she was waiting with a crowd of children and mothers to receive these supplements, a hateful, merciless missile was fired from an airplane at this crowd, tearing her pure body apart along with a number of other women and children. Her child was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. The poor husband, as soon as he heard the news, headed to the hospital, where they told him, "May God reward you. Your child is in intensive care."

هذا المواطن البسيط والذي تدل علامات وجهه على المعاناة التي يحياها بالكاد يدبر كيلوا طحين أو كيلو معكرونة لإطعام أطفاله الجوعى وبعض الاحيان ينامون بدون عشاء لنفاذ الطعام والخبز
زوجة ابو قطة هي الأخرى كانت تساعد قدر الإمكان بتدبير الطعام والطحين وزي ما بقول المثل "ساترة حالها وساترة بيتها" لا تشتكي وتقول دائما الحمد لله مستورة
هذه الزوجة المسكينة ما أن سمعت عن توزيع مكملات غذائية في دير البلح فرحت كثيرا و توجهت صباحا مسرعة مصطحبة طفلها الصغير بيدها لكي تستلم هذه المكملات لكي تطعم أطفالها الجوعى الذين لم يتذوقوا طعم هذه المكملات منذ عدة شهور على الرغم انها كانت تشاهدها مع التجار ولكن ما باليد حيلة لا تستطيع الشراء
واثناء انتظارها مع حشد من الأطفال والأمهات لكي تستلم هذه المكملات واذ بصاروخ حاقد لا يعرف الرحمة يطلق من الطائرات على هذا الحشد ويمزق جسدها الطاهر مع عدد آخر من النساء والأطفال ويصاب طفلها بجراح خطيرة وينقل إلى المستشفى
الزوج المسكين ما أن سمع بالخبر حتى توجه إلى المستشفى وقالوا له عظم الله اجركم وطفلك في العناية المركزة
