This handsome, radiant young man is Ahmed Abu Aisha. The photo was taken during his doctoral dissertation on Arabic literature during the genocide. Ahmed Al-Siddiq visited me several times at my workplace so I could help him with his thesis. He would say to me, "Shaaban, I would like you to have your own influence on this dissertation. I want you to comment on the texts with a spirit of alienation. We need a leap that will make the examiners touch on something new. This dissertation must be creative." Although Abu Salama was a shrewd man who understood how creativity takes shape, he loved sharing this abundant effort with me. He greatly valued perfection and dedication. I remember joking with him that day, saying, "The doctor's happiness, your presence in it is the greatest creativity." He smiled and responded with his usual phrase, "May God bless you." This was the phrase he used to greet his friends and loved ones. Colleagues at Palestine Today News Agency testify that Ahmed always preferred silence. He preferred silence over speech, was lighthearted, loved his work, and respected time to the point that he treated everyone as a friend who was always present. Many situations introduced us to Abu Salama at one point. He and the iconic martyr Ahmed Mansour were the most lighthearted and joking among our colleagues, but Ahmed was the first to initiate the jokes, and today's martyr loved to be teased by others. During our last conversation, he had recently gotten engaged, and I said to him, "Congratulations, my dear. How did you get paid?" He replied, "By God, partly in cash and partly in an app until you see the gold, hahaha." I jokingly asked, "So, did you set conditions for it?" He replied, "By God, I will abide by its conditions from today... hahaha." His words were beautiful as you spoke to him, and I am certain that what mattered to him in this world was satisfying his professional conscience and following in the footsteps of his friends. He passed away at the threshold of his home after returning from his journalistic duties. Ahmed Abu Aisha.. May God have mercy on your soul that comforted us with your presence, and will never leave us in your absence. To God we belong and to Him we shall return. There is no power or strength except in God, the Most High, the Almighty.

هذا الشاب الوسيم، الذي يبدو متوهجاً هو أحمد أبو عيشة، الصورة التقطت أثناء مناقشته رسالة الدكتوراة في الأدب العربي في ظل حرب الإبادة.
أحمد الصديق، زارني عدة مرات في مكان عملي، لكي أساعده في أطروحته، كان يقول لي "شعبان أنا حابب يكون الك بصمة في هذه الرسالة، بدي منك تعقب على النصوص بروح الاغتراب.. بدنا قفزة تجعل المناقشين يلمسو شيء جديد.. هذه الرسالة لازم تكون مبدعة". رغم أن أبو سلامة كان رجلاً حذقاً، ويعرف كيف يتشكَّل الإبداع إلا أنه أحب مشاركتي ذاك الجهد الغزير، كان يحب الإتقان جداً، والتفاني أكثر.
أذكر أنني مازحته يومها بالقول "سعادة الدكتور وجودك فيها أكبر إبداع" فابتسم ورد بكلمته المعهودة "الله يحييك". كانت هذه الكلمة التي يستخدمها لرد التحية لأصدقائه، ومحبيه.
يشهد الزملاء في وكالة فلسطين اليوم الإخبارية، أن أحمد كان دائماً يفضل الصمت، يهوى السكوت على الكلام، خفيف الظل، يحب عمله كثيراً، ويحترم الوقت لدرجة أنه يتعامل معه كصديق لازم الحضور. كثير من المواقف عرَّفتنا بأبو سلامة في فترة ما. هو والشهيد الأيقونة أحمد منصور. كانا الأكثر خفة، ومزاحاً بين الزملاء، إلا أن أحمد الأول كان يبادر بالمزاح، وشهيد اليوم كان يحب أن يمازحه الآخرون.
في آخر اتصال بيننا، وكان قد خطب حديثاً، قلت له "ألف مبارك يا حبيب.. كيف قبضت"؟
فرد: "والله جزء كاش، وجزء تطبيق لغاية ما تفرج بتشتري الذهب ههههه". قلت ممازحاً: يعني شرَّطت عليها؟
فرد: والله أنا من اليوم ماشي بشروطها.. هههه.
جميلة كلماته وأنت تتحدث إليه، وأنا على ثقة أن ما كان يهمه في هذه الدنيا، أن يُرضي ضميره المهني، ويمضي على خطى أصدقائه. ارتقى أمام عتبة منزله بعد أن عاد من واجبه الصحفي.
أحمد أبو عيشة.. رحم الله روحك التي آنستنا بحضورك، ولن تتركنا أبداً في غيابك. إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون. ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله العلي العظيم.
