A massacre of displaced persons' tents near the UNRWA barracks in Rafah this evening, using tons of explosives. This is a qualitative development in the massacres committed in Rafah a short while ago. The occupation has abandoned its previously announced caution, fearing the commission of a major massacre in Rafah, in deference to international warnings.
The massacre, which resulted in a large number of martyrs and wounded, including children and women, came hours after rockets were fired from Rafah for the first time toward central cities in the entity. It also came one day after the International Court of Justice demanded an immediate halt to the military operation in Rafah.
The massacre indicates that the occupation has begun its brutality in Rafah.
