Amr Al-Leithy mourns Ala Al-Dahdouh: Israel aims to silence media professionals
The President of the Union of Radio and Television of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member States, Dr. Amr Al-Leithy, mourned with deep sorrow and grief the journalist and broadcaster Ala Al-Dahdouh, who was martyred today, Saturday, following the Israeli occupation's bombing of her home on Al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City.

In a statement issued by the Union today, Al-Leithy condemned this criminal act, stressing that Israel aims to silence media professionals and obscure the truth by targeting journalists and correspondents. He described these acts as "war crimes" that require the prosecution of those responsible before the International Criminal Court.
Al-Leithy offered his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and to the Arab and Islamic media community, praying to God Almighty to have mercy on her soul. He called on civil society and human rights organizations to intervene immediately to stop these attacks and protect journalists and media professionals in Palestine, noting the importance of international media in conveying the facts and documenting what is happening in Palestine.

نعى رئيس اتحاد إذاعات وتليفزيونات دول منظمة التعاون الإسلامي الدكتور عمرو الليثي ببالغ الحزن والآسي الصحفية والمذيعة علا الدحدوح، التي استشهدت اليوم السبت، عقب قصف الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لمنزلها في شارع الجلاء بمدينة غزة.
‎وأعرب الليثي - في بيان للاتحاد اليوم - عن إدانته لهذا العمل الإجرامي، مؤكداً أن إسرائيل تهدف إلى تكميم أفواه الإعلاميين، وتحجب الحقيقة عبر استهداف الصحفيين والمراسلين، واصفا هذه الأعمال بأنها "جرائم حرب" تستوجب محاكمة مسئوليها أمام المحكمة الدولية.
وتقدم الليثي بخالص العزاء لأسرة الفقيدة ولأسرة الإعلام العربي والإسلامي، داعياً المولى عز وجل أن يتغمدها بواسع رحمته.. وناشد منظمات المجتمع المدني وحقوق الإنسان بالتدخل الفوري لوقف هذه الهجمات وحماية الصحفيين والإعلاميين في فلسطين، لافتا إلى أهمية الإعلام الدولي في نقل الحقائق وتوثيق ما يحدث في فلسطين.
