The Lebanese Red Cross issued the following statement: "Following the airstrike on the Jwayya area in the south, two Lebanese Red Cross ambulances and their crews responded at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, after making the necessary contacts with UNIFIL. The crews arrived at the scene at 4:52 a.m. and began a search to search for the injured in order to treat and rescue them. At 5:10 a.m., the site was targeted, and two paramedics sustained minor shrapnel injuries. The paramedics returned with the two vehicles to Jabal Amel Hospital, where the necessary medical examinations were performed. Their condition is not cause for concern."

"على اثر الغارة على منطقة جويّا في الجنوب، تحركت سيّارتا اسعاف للصليب الاحمر اللبناني مع طواقمها عند الساعة 4:30 بعد ظهر اليوم الاربعاء ١٦ تشرين الاول بعد اجراء الاتصالات اللازمة مع اليونيفيل، فوصلت الطواقم الى المكان عند الساعة 4:52 وبدأ المسح من أجل البحث عن المصابين لإسعافهم وإنقاذهم، عند الساعة 5:10 تعرّض الموقع للاستهداف فأصيب مسعفين اثنين بجروح طفيفة جراء الشظايا، عاد المسعفون مع السيارتين الى مستشفى جبل عامل وتم اجراء الفحوصات الطبية اللازمة وحالتهم لا تدعو للقلق".
