Addressing the pilots upon approval for takeoff, the Chief of Staff said: "These are the terrorists whose sole ambition was to be the spearhead for the destruction of the State of Israel. We will continue to carry out this mission anywhere, at any range, near or far, to hold our enemies accountable."

"Ready. Take off—to eliminate the leaders of the Hamas terrorist organization. We are settling a moral and ethical score in the name of all the victims of the October 7th attack. We will not rest until we bring our captives home and defeat Hamas."
