Clashes erupt today in the village of Qarahouk, in the countryside of al-Ya'rubiyah, east of Hasakah, between a large contingent of the SDF militia and young men from the Shammar tribe. The clashes followed an attempt by the militia to arrest a leader of the Sanadid Shammar militia named Alaa Mahmoud al-Halil al-Shammari. SDF patrols attempted to raid his home in Qarahouk, prompting Alaa and his brother Ali, along with relatives from the village, to expel the militia members. The SDF then brought in significant reinforcements and attempted to storm the village by force. The villagers, led by Alaa al-Shammari, resisted, and clashes ensued. - Two members of the SDF militia were killed in the clashes, and two military vehicles were disabled by RPG fire.

- SDF snipers also killed Alaa's father, Haj Mahmoud Al-Halil Al-Zubaidi, 68 years old.

- The Sanadid Forces brought large numbers of Shammar tribesmen to the village of Qarahouk.

- Following this, the International Coalition intervened, deploying drones, and the situation calmed down. Alaa and his brother Ali were able to leave the area for the town of Tell Alou (where the Shammar tribal council is located) under the protection of the Sanadid Forces.

- Accounts affiliated with the SDF militia claimed that the operation was to pursue drug dealers, a claim denied by the villagers, who confirmed that the clash was due to the militia's attempt to arrest young men who had been in Damascus in areas controlled by the Syrian government.

*This is the first military clash between the militia affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and members of the Shammar Al-Jarba tribe.*

صدام هو الأول من نوعه بين ميليشيا «قسد» PKK وبين قبيلة «شمر» في الحسڪة

شهدت قرية "قرهوك" بريف بلدة اليعربية شرق الحسكة، اشتباكات اليوم بين حشد عسكري كبير لميليشيا قسد، وبين شباب من قبيلة «شمر»، على إثر محاولة الميليشيا اِعتقال قيادي في ميليشيا "صناديد شمر" يدعى «علاء محمود الهليل الشمري»، وحاولت دوريات لميليشيا قسد مداهمة منزله في قرية «قرهوك»، ليقوم علاء وشقيقه علي، مع أقاربهم من سكان القرية بطرد عناصر الميليشيا من القرية، الأخيرة جلبت تعزيزات كبيرة وحاولت اقتحامها بالقوة، ليرد أهالي القرية بقيادة «علاء الشمري» واندلعت اشتباكات بين الطرفين.
- قُتل بالاشتباكات عنصرين من ميليشيا «قسد» وأعطبت مرڪبتان عسڪريتان بقذائف RPG
- كما قتلَ قناصة ميليشيا قسد والد علاء، الحاج "محمود الهليل الزوبعي" 68 سنة.
- جلبت قوات الصناديد حشود كبيرة من أبناء قبيلة شمر لقرية قرهوك
- على إثرها تدخل «التحالف الدولي» والذي جلب طيران مُسير وهدأت الأمور، وتمكن كلا من علاء وشقيقه علي بمغادرة المكان نحو بلدة تل علو ( فيها مشيخة شمر ) بحماية قوات الصناديد.
- حسابات تابعة لميليشيا قسد أدعت ان العملية جائت لملاحقة تجار مخدرات، وهذا ما نفاه سكان القرية، الذين أكدوا أن سبب الاشتباك هو محاولة الميليشيا تنفيذ اعتقالات لشباب كانوا في دمشق في مناطق سيطرة الحكومة السورية.
