A woman was killed and another injured on Thursday in Turkish shelling of Manbij, northern Syria.
The Manbij Military Council stated through its official channels that Turkish forces targeted the village of Al-Farat, northwest of Manbij, with artillery and mortar fire.
It added that the shelling resulted in the death of Nadima Al-Hussein Al-Hamoud, 45, and the injury of Saada Al-Hassan Al-Faraj, 45.
It also noted that Turkish forces targeted the villages of Al-Jarad with seven shells and Umm Jaloud with 17 shells. The previous day, they had also shelled the villages of Umm Jaloud, Al-Sayyada, and Al-Dandaniya.

فقدت امرأة حياتها، وأُصيبت أخرى، الخميس، بقصف تركي على منبج شمالي سوريا.
وقال مجلس منبج العسكري عبر معرفاته الرسمية، إن القوات التركية استهدفت قرية الفارات شمالي غربي منبج بقذائف المدفعية والهاون.
وأضافت أن القصف أسفر عن فقدان “نديمة الحسين الحمود” البالغة من العمر (45 عاماً)، وإصابة “سعدة الحسن الفرج” (45 عاماً).
وأشارت إلى أن القوات التركية استهدف قريتي الجراد بـ 7 قذائف، وأم جلود 17 قذيفة، وكانت في الأمس قد قصف أيضاً قرى؛ أم جلود، الصيادة والدندنية.
