Statement from the Internal Security Forces

To our people and the public

In yet another crime added to the series of violations committed by the Turkish occupation state against civilians, a civilian Hyundai vehicle was targeted this afternoon, Saturday, December 21, 2024, by a drone south of the town of Tel Brak.

The terrorist attack occurred near the Martyrs' Gas Station checkpoint on the road connecting the cities of Tel Brak and al-Hawl, resulting in the martyrdom of three civilians, including a religious figure, and seriously injuring another.

We condemn in the strongest terms this cowardly act of aggression, which aims to spread terror among civilians and destroy stability in the region. We affirm that this crime is part of a series of flagrant violations of international law and human rights, which prohibit targeting civilians under any circumstances.

We call upon the international community and human rights organizations to take immediate action to stop these repeated crimes perpetrated against the people of the region and to hold those responsible accountable. We also affirm our legitimate right to defend our people and ensure their safety and security.

Mercy to the martyrs and a speedy recovery to the wounded.

في جريمة جديدة تُضاف إلى سلسلة انتهاكات دولة الاحتلال التركي بحق المدنيين، تعرضت سيارة مدنية من نوع هيونداي ظهر اليوم السبت 21 ديسمبر 2024، لاستهداف غادر عبر طائرة مسيّرة جنوب بلدة تل براك.
وقع الهجوم الارهابي بالقرب من حاجز كازية الشهداء على الطريق الواصل بين مدينتي تل براك والهول، مما أسفر عن استشهاد ثلاثة مدنيين من بين الشهداء رجل دين وإصابة آخر بجروح خطيرة.
ندين بأشد العبارات هذا العمل العدواني الجبان الذي يهدف إلى بث الذعر في نفوس المدنيين وتدمير الاستقرار في المنطقة. ونؤكد أن هذه الجريمة تأتي ضمن سلسلة انتهاكات صارخة للقوانين الدولية وحقوق الإنسان التي تحظر استهداف المدنيين تحت أي ظرف.
نطالب المجتمع الدولي والمنظمات الحقوقية بالتحرك العاجل لوقف هذه الجرائم المتكررة التي تُمارس بحق شعوب المنطقة ومحاسبة المسؤولين عنها. كما نؤكد على حقنا المشروع في الدفاع عن أهلنا وضمان سلامتهم وأمنهم.
