Initial reports indicate that two individuals, Faisal Al-Yassin Ma'artahma and Ibrahim Al-Abdullah Basartoun, were traveling in the vehicle and possessed weapons and ammunition. No coalition aircraft were observed in the air at the time of the explosion. It is believed that the vehicle exploded due to the ammunition inside.
