Journalist Akid Roj was killed on Saturday in an airstrike by a Turkish warplane targeting the vicinity of the Tishrin Dam in northeastern Syria.

Akid, a journalist from the city of Afrin, worked with several local media outlets before his death in the bombing.

According to eyewitnesses, the bombing also injured a number of people, though the exact number is unknown. The wounded were taken to medical facilities for treatment.

عكيد، وهو صحفي من مدينة عفرين، كان يعمل مع عدة وسائل إعلام محلية، قبل أن يفارق الحياة نتيجة القصف.
ووفقًا لشهود عيان، أسفر القصف عن إصابة عدد من الأشخاص، دون تحديد حصيلة دقيقة، حيث تم نقلهم إلى النقاط الطبية لتلقي العلاج.
