Nine Killed in Turkish Drone Strike on Kobani Countryside

Nine members of one family, including children and women, were killed, and a girl and a young woman were injured when a Turkish drone targeted the village of Qomji, south of Kobani, at midnight on Sunday/Monday.

A local source told North Press that a drone targeted a farm where the family, originally from the village of Karak, south of Kobani, worked. The father worked as a caretaker on the farm.

The source added that the deceased were: Ahin, Dijla, Dilovan, Yasser, Aziza Othman, Saliha, and Avista Othman Abdo, along with their father, Othman Barkal Abdo, and their mother, Ghazala Othman Abdo.

The injured were identified as Ronida Othman Abdo (18 years old) and Narin Othman Abdo (9 years old), according to the source.

The source stated that the young woman, Ronida, sustained serious injuries as a result of the bombing and is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Al-Amal Hospital in Kobani.

فقد تسعة أشخاص من عائلة واحدة حياتهم بينهم أطفال ونساء، وأصيبت طفلة وشابة جراء استهداف طائرة مسيرة تركية قرية قومجي جنوب كوباني، منتصف ليلة الأحد/الاثنين.



وقال مصدر محلي، لنورث برس، بأن طائرة مسيرة استهدفت مزرعة كانت تعمل فيها العائلة التي تنحدر من قرية كرك جنوبي كوباني، حيث يعمل الوالد ناطوراً فيها.



وأضاف المصدر، أن المتوفين جراء القصف هم كل من؛ آهين ودجلة ودلوفان وياسر وعزيزة عثمان وصالحة وآفيستا عثمان عبدو، ووالدهم عثمان بركل عبدو، ووالدتهم غزالة أوصمان عبدو.



فيما أصيب كل من؛ “رونيدا عثمان عبدو” (18 عاماً)، و”نارين عثمان عبدو” (9 أعوام)، بحسب المصدر.



وذكر المصدر أن الشابة رونيدا أصيبت بروح بليغة جراء القصف، وتتلقى العلاج في العناية المشددة بمشفى الأمل في كوباني.
