The Turkish military has denied media reports claiming that one of its drones targeted a village in northeastern Syria, asserting that these allegations are baseless. A statement from the Turkish Directorate of Communications' Disinformation Center read: "The claims circulated by some media outlets regarding a Turkish armed drone carrying out a nighttime attack on a village in northeastern Syria, resulting in the deaths of a father, mother, and seven children, are false." The statement clarified that the operations conducted by the Turkish Armed Forces both within and outside the country as part of the fight against terrorism "directly target terrorist organizations and are planned with the utmost precision to ensure no harm is inflicted on civilians." Ankara emphasized that the objective of these operations is "to neutralize terrorist elements and thwart terrorist attacks targeting our people and security forces, as well as to secure our borders." The statement stressed that the Turkish Armed Forces take all necessary precautions during planning and execution to ensure "that innocent civilians, friendly forces, historical and cultural sites, and the environment are not harmed." It added that Turkey "provides all forms of support to ensure the safe and uninterrupted continuation of humanitarian relief efforts in the region."
