Hasakah Governorate: On Saturday evening, special units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) launched a large-scale security operation in the city of Hasakah, which continued until the early hours of the morning. The operation targeted cells affiliated with the Islamic State (ISIS).

The operation was supported by ground and air forces from the International Coalition. Prior to the operation, all entrances and exits to the city were completely closed to ensure a tight security cordon and prevent any suspects from escaping.

The operation resulted in the arrest of a number of individuals accused of belonging to ISIS cells. They were transferred to a security facility.

محافظة الحسكة: شنّت وحدات خاصة تابعة لقوات سوريا الديمقراطية، مساء أمس السبت، حملة أمنية واسعة في أحياء مدينة الحسكة، استمرت حتى ساعات الصباح الأولى، استهدفت خلايا تابعة لتنظيم “الدولة الإسلامية”.
وجاءت العملية بدعم بري وجوي من قوات “التحالف الدولي”. سبقها إغلاق جميع مداخل ومخارج المدينة بالكامل، لضمان إحكام الطوق الأمني ومنع فرار أي من المشتبه بهم.
وقد أسفرت الحملة عن اعتقال عدد من المتهمين بالانتماء إلى خلايا التنظيم. حيث جرى نقلهم إلى جهة أمنية.
