The Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects issued a statement mourning "with profound sorrow and grief the martyrs Ahmed Saad and Mustafa Rizk, who were killed while performing their professional and national duty in the Khardali area, located between Nabatieh and Marjeyoun. They were en route to the Khiam area to conduct damage assessments and evaluate the infrastructure."

The statement continued: "Our two colleagues fell as martyrs in the line of duty, at a time when the Order and the engineering community are celebrating 'Lebanese Engineer and Architect Day.' This day has become a day of loyalty and sacrifice, embodying the highest ideals of commitment, belonging, and dedication." It added: "Engineering work in the field will remain a pillar of resilience, reconstruction, and rebuilding, despite all risks and challenges."

The Order concluded by extending "its deepest condolences to the families of the two martyrs and their colleagues, and affirms its commitment to defending the dignity of the profession and the lives of those who serve the nation through it."

اضاف:"ان العمل الهندسي في الميدان سيبقى رديفا للصمود وإعادة الاعمار والبناء على الرغم من كل المخاطر والتحديات."
وختمت النقابة متوجهة" بأحر التعازي من عائلتي الشهـ.يدين ورفاقهما، وتؤكد مضيها في الدفاع عن كرامة المهنة وارواح من يخدمون الوطن من خلالها"
