And never think that those who were killed in the cause of Allah are dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision. They rejoice in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those [to be martyred] after them who have not yet joined them - that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. They rejoice in the favor and bounty of Allah, and that Allah does not waste the reward of the believers. We announce to the Gardens of Bliss the martyrs of the Hamdan family: our cousin, the martyr Fella Shehadeh Hamdan, and the children of our imprisoned cousin, Sabri Rafiq Hamdan: Hanin Sabri Hamdan, Asma Sabri Hamdan, Raghad Sabri Hamdan, and Ahmad Sabri Hamdan. We pray for the speedy recovery of the injured members of the family. In this tragedy, we say only what pleases Allah: "Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we will return." And do not consider those who are killed in the way of Allah as dead, but they are alive with their Lord. They rejoice in what Allah has given them of His bounty, and they give good tidings to those who have not followed them, nor shall they grieve. They give tidings of a blessing and bounty from Allah, and that Allah never lets the reward of the believers be lost.

وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ. فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ. يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِنِعْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَفَضْلٍ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ)
