Occupied Jerusalem - At present, Israel is maintaining a state of active conflict on multiple fronts, from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria, without facing direct responses commensurate with the scale of its attacks.

This approach appears likely to continue in the coming months, especially as it enters an election year marked by escalating internal pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court on charges of war crimes in Gaza. This pressure is primarily coming from settlers and right-wing parties.

In Syria, Israel escalated its military operations on Friday with a bloody attack on the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside, resulting in the deaths of 20 people and injuries to 24 others. This followed an armed clash during an incursion by Israeli forces into the area.

Israel's Objectives
The Israeli army stated that the operation targeted members of the "Islamic Group," announcing that six of its soldiers, including officers, were wounded. This attack raises questions about its timing, Israel's political and military motives, the importance of the Beit Jinn area to Tel Aviv, and whether it seeks to redraw the rules of engagement, prevent the formation of "hostile" military infrastructure near the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, or send regional deterrent messages before a sensitive political period within Israel itself.

According to military and political analyses, Tel Aviv aims, through this operation, to:

Establish long-term deterrence on the northern front after months of tensions.

Preventing any new armed deployments near the Golan Heights, especially in areas that are a natural extension of the southern Lebanese front.

Exerting pressure on the regime of Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa and keeping it in a position of being the recipient of messages, not the sender.
Exploiting Syrian instability to emphasize that any political negotiations or border arrangements with Damascus are out of the question.
Consolidating control over the Mount Hermon area, a sensitive element in the Israeli security system.
Linking the Syrian and Lebanese fronts and presenting the escalation as part of a "unified battle" against factions that Israel considers a single threat.

القدس المحتلة- تحافظ إسرائيل، في المرحلة الراهنة، على إبقاء جبهاتها مشتعلة في أكثر من ساحة، من قطاع غزة إلى الضفة الغربية ولبنان وسوريا، دون أن تواجه ردودا مباشرة بحجم الهجمات التي تنفذها.

ويبدو أن هذا النهج سيستمر خلال الأشهر المقبلة، خاصة مع دخولها في سنة انتخابات تتصاعد فيها الضغوط الداخلية على رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو، المطلوب للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية بتهمة ارتكاب جرائم حرب في غزة، وفي مقدمتها ضغوط المستوطنين والأحزاب اليمينية.

في سوريا، صعّدت إسرائيل، أمس الجمعة، من عملياتها العسكرية عبر هجوم دموي على بلدة بيت جن بريف دمشق، أسفر عن وفاة 20 شخصا وإصابة 24 آخرين، في أعقاب اشتباك مسلح وقع خلال توغل لقوات الاحتلال في المنطقة.

أهداف إسرائيل
وقال الجيش الإسرائيلي إن العملية استهدفت عناصر من "الجماعة الإسلامية"، معلنا إصابة 6 من جنوده بينهم ضباط. ويثير هذا الهجوم تساؤلات حول توقيته ودوافع إسرائيل السياسية والعسكرية منه، وبشأن أهمية منطقة بيت جن بالنسبة لتل أبيب، وما إذا كانت تسعى لإعادة رسم قواعد الاشتباك أو منع تشكيل بنى عسكرية "معادية" قرب حدود الجولان السوري المحتل، أو إرسال رسائل ردع إقليمية قبل مرحلة سياسية حساسة داخل إسرائيل نفسها.

وبحسب التحليلات العسكرية والسياسية، تسعى تل أبيب من وراء هذه العملية إلى:

ترسيخ ردع طويل الأمد في الجبهة الشمالية بعد أشهر من التوترات.
منع أي تمركز مسلح جديد بالقرب من الجولان، خاصة في مناطق تُعد امتدادا طبيعيا لجبهات جنوب لبنان.
الضغط على نظام الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع وإبقائه في موقع "المستقبل للرسائل" لا "المرسل لها".
استثمار عدم الاستقرار السوري لتأكيد أن أي تفاوض سياسي أو ترتيب حدودي مع دمشق مستبعد.
تثبيت السيطرة على منطقة جبل الشيخ بوصفها عنصرا حساسا في المنظومة الأمنية الإسرائيلية.
ربط الجبهة السورية باللبنانية، وتقديم التصعيد كجزء من "معركة موحدة" ضد فصائل تعتبرها إسرائيل خط تهديد واحدا.
