Our friend Ahmed Washah – Abu al-Hassan – lived through two years of war, carrying his children in his eyes, fleeing with them from house to house, from one fear to another, searching for the safety he never found… And today, after he thought the war was over, the occupation committed another crime, bombing his home and wiping out his entire family – his wife, his four children, his brother Ibrahim, and his son.

How heavy this loss is, and how painful it is to escape death a thousand times only to be struck down in the final moment with all those you love.

May God have mercy on those who have departed, and grant you patience, Ahmed.

الصديق أحمد وشاح – أبو الحسن، الذي عاش سنتين من الحرب يحمل أولاده في عيونه، يهرب بهم من بيتٍ إلى بيت، ومن خوفٍ إلى خوف، بحثًا عن الأمان الذي لم يجده يومًا…
واليوم، بعد أن ظنّ أن الحرب انتهت، ارتكب الاحتلال جريمة جديدة، فقصف منزله وأباد عائلته كاملة — زوجته وأطفاله الأربعة وشقيقه إبراهيم وابنه.
ما أثقل هذا الفقد، وما أوجع أن ينجو المرء من الموت ألف مرة ليُفجَع في المرة الأخيرة بكل من يحب.
