"And never think that those who have been killed in the cause of Allah are dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision."

With immense pride and sorrow, and with hearts heavy with grief, I mourn my brother who ascended to martyrdom today on the path to Jerusalem at the age of 54, after a long journey of displacement in the south, following his and his family's siege in the Eilaboun school in Qarara.

May he rest in eternal peace with the prophets, the righteous, and the martyrs. And how excellent a martyr he is: Adel Omar Tafesh "Abu Omar"

"وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتًا ۚ بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ"
بمزيد من الفخر والعز، وبقلوبٍ يعتصرها الألم، أنعى أخي الذي ارتقى اليوم شهيدًا على طريق القدس عن عمر يناهز ٥٤ عام بعد رحلة نزوح طويلة في الجنوب، بعدما تمت محاصرته وعائلته في مدرسة عيلبون بالقرارة.
