Raqqa Governorate: Elements of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and the Special Forces (HAT), in conjunction with the International Coalition forces, conducted a joint airdrop operation in the eastern countryside of Raqqa city at dawn today. The operation resulted in the arrest of the leader of an ISIS cell, an "emir," and the seizure of weapons and ammunition in his possession.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights had previously reported, on November 8th, that the International Coalition forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out a joint airdrop operation on the outskirts of Raqqa city, amidst heavy helicopter and drone activity.

According to Syrian Observatory activists, special units from the SDF participated in that operation, combing the area and establishing a tight security cordon around the targeted location. The operation resulted in the arrest of two ISIS cell members.

These operations are part of a series of successive, coordinated, and organized operations by the International Coalition forces, in cooperation with the SDF, to pursue ISIS cells in the areas under the Autonomous Administration.

محافظة الرقة: نفذت عناصر من جهاز الأمن العام والوحدات الخاصة “HAT ” وبمشاركة من قوات “التحالف الدولي” فجر اليوم، عملية إنزال جوي نوعية مشتركة، في الريف الشرقي لمدينة الرقة، حيث أسفرت العملية عن القاء القبض على متزعم خلية “أمير” في تنظيم “الدولة الإسلامية” وضبط بحوزته أسلحة وذخائر.
وسبق أن رصد المرصد السوري في الثامن من تشرين الثاني الجاري، تنفيذ قوات التحالف الدولي وقوات سوريا الديمقراطية “قسد” عملية إنزال جوي نوعية مشتركة على أطراف مدينة الرقة، وسط تحليق مكثف للطيران المروحي والطائرات المسيرة.
ووفق نشطاء المرصد السوري، شارك في العملية، يومئذ، وحدات خاصة من قوات سوريا الديمقراطية، حيث قامت بتمشيط المنطقة، وفرض طوق أمني محكم حول الموقع المستهدف. وأسفرت العملية عن اعتقال عنصرين من خلايا تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية.
وتأتي هذه العمليات في إطار سلسلة العمليات المتتالية والمنسقة والمنظمة لقوات التحالف الدولي بمشاركة قوات سوريا الدّيمقراطية لملاحقة خلايا تنظيم الدولة الإسلامية في مناطق الإدارة الذاتية.
