Hasakah Governorate: On Saturday evening, special units affiliated with the Iraqi Army launched a large-scale security operation in the neighborhoods of Hasakah city, which continued until the early morning hours. The operation targeted cells belonging to the Islamic State group.

The operation was supported by ground and air forces from the International Coalition. Prior to the operation, all entrances and exits to the city were completely closed to ensure a tight security cordon and prevent any suspects from escaping.
