Twelve people were killed in the towns of Shebaa and Sarbin in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon on Friday.

According to Reuters, citing Mayor Mohammed Saab, nine members of the same family, including four children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting Shebaa.

Saab said the Israeli strike occurred around 3:00 AM on Friday.

Three other people were killed when their car was targeted in Sarbin, also in the Bint Jbeil district.

Earlier on Friday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced via its "X" platform that 92 people had been killed and 153 others wounded in Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon over the previous 24 hours.

Israeli warplanes have launched dozens of consecutive airstrikes on southern Lebanon amid escalating tensions on the northern front with Hezbollah since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip on October 7th.

وفي التفاصيل، قُتل 9 أشخاص من عائلة واحدة، بينهم 4 أطفال، إثر غارة إسرائيلية استهدفت بلدة شبعا جنوب لبنان، وفق ما نقلته وكالة "رويترز" عن رئيس البلدية، محمد صعب.
وقال صعب إن إسرائيل شنت الغارة في حوالي الساعة الثالثة من فجر اليوم الجمعة.
كما قُتل 3 أشخاص إثر استهداف مسيرة لسيارتهم في صربين بقضاء بنت جبيل.
وفي وقت سابق اليوم، أعلنت وزارة الصحة اللبنانية عبر منصة "إكس" عن مقتل 92 شخصًا، وإصابة 153 آخرين في غارات إسرائيلية على لبنان  خلال الـ24 ساعة الماضية.
وشنت المقاتلات الإسرائيلية عشرات الغارات الجوية المتتالية على جنوب لبنان، في ظل التصعيد الذي واجهته على الجبهة الشمالية مع ميليشيا حزب الله، منذ بدء الحرب في قطاع غزة في السابع من أكتوبر/تشرين الأول الماضي.
