Beautiful of countenance, with a smiling face, kind-hearted, of good repute, and gentle of nature, she was a nurturer of men, beloved by all, young and old. Among her virtues was the saying, "Let him who speaks well or remain silent," for she was one of those who restrain their anger and forgive others. From her name, we learned loyalty. My martyred aunt, Wafaa Othman Obeid (Um Khalil Al-Khatib), and her son, the polite and kind engineer, Muhammad Yusuf Al-Khatib.

Your loss is difficult for our hearts, but what comforts us is that you are a martyr, God willing. Whenever I remember the Quran recitation circles you shared with us, your tranquil recitation, and how you would enter and leave like a gentle breeze, it is difficult for me to imagine how we can continue without you. But our affection for you compels us to recite and pray for you in every recitation session.

جميلة المُحَيا باسمة الوجه حنونة القلب طيبة الذكر هادئة الطباع مربية الرجال محبوبة للجميع الصغير والكبير من خصالها فليقل خيراً او ليصمت من الكاظمين الغيظ العافين عن الناس ومن اسمها تعلمنا الوفاء عمتي الشهيدة وفاء عثمان عبيد ( ام خليل الخطيب ) وابنها المهندس المهذب الطيب محمد يوسف الخطيب .
فقدانك صعب على قلوبنا وما يعزينا انك شهيدة بإذن الله كلما تذكرت مقرأة القرآن التي تشاركينا فيها وهدوءك في التلاوة وكالنسمة تدخلي وتغادري يصعب علي كيف نكمل بدونك ولكن معزتك تدفعنا لنقرأ ونترحم عليك في كل حلقة تلاوة.
