This morning, the town of Hawaj Bu Mas'ah in the western Deir ez-Zor countryside witnessed a joint security operation between the International Coalition forces and the special units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The operation included an airborne assault after a security cordon was established.

The operation resulted in the arrest of six members of ISIS cells in the area, who were then taken to a security facility.

This operation is part of the joint operations carried out by the International Coalition forces and the SDF to pursue ISIS elements in northeastern Syria.

It is worth noting that on November 26, an airborne assault operation was conducted by the International Coalition forces in coordination with special units of the Internal Security Forces in the Autonomous Administration areas. This operation coincided with intensive overflights by warplanes and drones in the area, specifically in the town of Marat, north of Deir ez-Zor.

According to sources, the participating forces surrounded several locations during the operation before arresting two individuals suspected of belonging to ISIS.

أسفرت العملية عن اعتقال 6 عناصر من خلايا تنظيم “الدولة الإسلامية” في المنطقة، وتم اقتيادهم إلى جهة أمنية.
وتأتي هذه العملية في إطار العمليات المشتركة التي تنفذها قوات "التحالف الدولي" مع "قسد" لملاحقة عناصر تنظيم "الدولة الإسلامية" في مناطق شمال شرقي سوريا.
يذكر أنه في 26 تشرين الثاني الماضي، أجريت عملية إنزال جوي نفّذتها قوات التحالف الدولي بالتنسيق مع وحدات خاصة من قوات الأمن الداخلي في مناطق "الإدارة الذاتية"، بالتزامن مع تحليق مكثف للطائرات الحربية والمسيّرة في أجواء المنطقة، وذلك في بلدة مراط شمالي دير الزور.
ووفقاً للمصادر، قامت القوات المشاركة بتطويق عدة نقاط خلال العملية قبل القبض على شخصين يُشتبه بانتمائهما إلى تنظيم "الدولة الإسلامية".
