At least 10 Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded on Sunday night in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a café in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that 10 Palestinians were killed and others wounded when Israeli warplanes bombed the Rio café on Jalal Street in central Khan Younis.

A number of displaced people had taken refuge in the café after their homes were destroyed in the ongoing Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

Rescue teams and civilians are still working to recover victims from the targeted site.

WAFA had previously reported that 29 Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded on Saturday evening in Israeli airstrikes on various areas of the Gaza Strip.

According to the agency, five Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City, and five bodies were recovered from under the rubble of another house in the same neighborhood belonging to the Yassin family.

Eight Palestinians were also killed in an airstrike that targeted a restaurant in the Nuseirat refugee camp market in central Gaza. In western Rafah, 11 Palestinians were killed and others wounded in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house belonging to the Abu Shamala family in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood.

قتل 10 فلسطينيين على الأقل وأصيب العشرات، ليلة الأحد، جرّاء قصف إسرائيلي طال مقهى وسط خان يونس جنوب قطاع غزة.
وقالت وكالة الأنباء الفلسطينية، إن 10 فلسطينيين قتلوا وأصيب آخرون جراء قصف الطيران الإسرائيلي لمقهى "ريو" في شارع جلال وسط خان يونس.
ولجأ عدد من النازحين إلى المقهى بعد أن دمرت منازلهم جرّاء القصف الإسرائيلي المتواصل على القطاع منذ أيام.
ولا تزال طواقم الإنقاذ والمواطنين المدنيين تعمل على انتشال الضحايا من المكان المستهدف بالقصف.
وكانت وكالة الأنباء الفلسطينية، قد أفادت بمقتل 29 فلسطينيا وإصابة العشرات، مساء السبت، جرّاء غارات نفذها الطيران الإسرائيلي، على مناطق مختلفة من قطاع غزة.
ووفق الوكالة فقد قتل 5 فلسطينيين في قصف إسرائيلي على منزل في حي الزيتون شرق غزة، وانتشلت 5 جثامين من تحت أنقاض منزل آخر في الحي ذاته يعود لعائلة ياسين.
كذلك قتل 8 فلسطينيين في قصف استهدف مطعما في سوق مخيم النصيرات وسط غزة.
وفي غرب رفح، قتل 11 فلسطينيا وأصيب آخرون في قصف إسرائيلي استهدف منزلا يعود لعائلة أبو شمالة بحي تل السلطان.
