Al-Ghad's correspondent reported that four Palestinians were killed on Thursday in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a residential tower in the center of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Israel continues its indiscriminate bombardment of the Gaza Strip, resulting in approximately 1,417 deaths and 6,268 injuries.

For the sixth consecutive day, the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation, launched by Palestinian resistance factions against Israeli occupation forces in various areas within the occupied territories, continues.

Rocket barrages continue to be launched by the Palestinian resistance from within the Gaza Strip, while the Israeli army carries out heavy airstrikes targeting civilians and infrastructure in Gaza.

According to the latest figures from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the death toll has risen to approximately 1,417, with 6,268 injuries.

Several international organizations have issued appeals for the opening of a safe passage to allow the entry of aid.

The World Health Organization (WHO) renewed its call for unimpeded access for medical and humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and an end to the hostilities that are causing untold suffering on both the Palestinian and Israeli sides.

In a statement released Thursday, the WHO said that hospitals in the Gaza Strip are operating on backup generators and are likely to run out of fuel in the coming days.

Supply Shortage
The international organization explained that hospitals have exhausted the supplies that the WHO had stockpiled before the escalation, noting that a life-saving health response now depends on the urgent delivery of new supplies and fuel to healthcare facilities. It is working urgently to procure medical supplies locally to meet the needs and is also preparing supplies from its global medical logistics hub.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) also announced Thursday that the besieged Gaza Strip still has some fuel to operate generators, including those in hospitals, but that it could run out within a few hours.

The International Committee of the Red Cross's director of operations for the Near and Middle East, Fabrizio Carboni, told reporters, "Our understanding is that there is still fuel available, but probably only enough for a few hours to power generators, including those in hospitals."

ولليوم السادس على التوالي، تتواصل عملية «طوفان الأقصى» التي تشنها فصائل المقاومة الفلسطينية ضد قوات جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في مناطق عدة داخل الأراضي المحتلة.

وتتواصل الرشقات الصاروخية التي تطلقها المقاومة الفلسطينية من داخل القطاع، بينما يشن جيش الاحتلال غارات كثيفة تستهدف المدنيين والبنية التحتية في غزة.

ووفقا لآخر إحصاء من الصحة الفلسطينية، فقد ارتفع عدد الشهداء إلى نحو 1417 شهيدا و 6268 مصابا.

وكانت عدة مؤسسات دولية قد وجهت نداءات ومناشدات من أجل فتح ممر آمن لدخول تلك المساعدات.

وجددت منظمة الصحة العالمية دعوتها لتأمين وصول المساعدات الطبية والإنسانية إلى قطاع غزة، وإنهاء الأعمال العدائية التي تسبب معاناة لا توصف في الجانبين الفلسطيني والإسرائيلي.
وذكرت المنظمة في بيان لها اليوم الخميس، أن المستشفيات في قطاع غزة تعمل بمولدات احتياطية، ومن المرجح أن ينفد الوقود لديها خلال الأيام المقبلة.

نفاد الإمدادات
أوضحت المنظمة الدولية أن المستشفيات استنفدت الإمدادات التي خزنتها المنظمة مسبقا قبل التصعيد، مشيرة إلى أن الاستجابة الصحية المنقذة للحياة تعتمد الآن على توصيل جديد للإمدادات والوقود إلى مرافق الرعاية الصحية في أسرع وقت ممكن. وأنها تعمل بشكل عاجل على شراء الإمدادات الطبية محليا لتلبية الاحتياجات، وتقوم بإعداد الإمدادات من مركزها اللوجستي الطبي العالمي.

كما أعلنت اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر اليوم الخميس، أن قطاع غزة المحاصر لا يزال لديه بعض الوقود لتشغيل مولدات بما يشمل تلك الموجودة في المستشفيات لكنه قد ينفد خلال ساعات قليلة.

فيما قال مدير عمليات اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر لمنطقة الشرق الأدنى والأوسط فابريزيو كاربوني للصحفيين «ما نفهمه أنه لا يزال هناك وقود لكن على الأرجح لبضع ساعات لتعمل به المولدات بما في ذلك تلك الموجودة بالمستشفيات».
