The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with the participation of the International Coalition, launched a security campaign on Thursday to pursue ISIS cells in the southern Hasakah countryside.

A security source accompanying the campaign told North Press that "the campaign encompasses dozens of villages located west of the city of al-Shaddadi in the southern Hasakah countryside."

The source added that the campaign includes combing areas in the southern Hasakah countryside that have witnessed movements by ISIS cells, amidst intensive overflights by helicopters and drones belonging to the International Coalition.

وقال مصدر أمني مرافق للحملة، لنورث برس، إن “الحملة تشمل عشرات القرى الواقعة غرب مدينة الشدادي بريف الحسكة الجنوبي”.

وأضاف المصدر أن الحملة تشمل تمشيط مناطق بريف الحسكة الجنوبي والتي تشهد تحركات لخلايا تنظيم “داعش” وسط تحليق مكثف للطائرات المروحية والمسيرة التابعة للتحالف الدولي.
