A second security operation in the Damascus countryside, coordinated with the international coalition forces, in the town of al-Buwaydah, resulted in the neutralization of Muhammad Shahada, also known as "Abu Omar Shaddad," a prominent leader in ISIS in Syria and the "governor of Hauran."

This was the 28th operation conducted by the Syrian Ministry of Interior against ISIS, and the neutralization of a second leading figure in the organization within hours, according to the statement.
