The number of Palestinian journalists killed in the Gaza Strip has risen to 227, following the death of journalist Mahmoud Issa Abu Sharbi on Wednesday, as a result of an Israeli airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip.


Sanad News Agency reported that Abu Sharbi was killed in a direct attack by Israeli warplanes near the training college in the Ansar government complex west of Gaza City. The attack also resulted in the deaths of five other Palestinians, including a woman and a child, and left several others wounded.


This attack comes amidst the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, which continues to target civilians and media institutions in an attempt to silence the truth and conceal war crimes committed against a defenseless population subjected to starvation and mass killing.

ارتفع عدد شهداء الصحفيين الفلسطينيين في قطاع غزة إلى 227 شهيدا، بعد استشهاد الزميل الصحفي محمود عيسى أبو شربي، اليوم الأربعاء، جراء قصف جوي شنه الاحتلال الصهيوني شمال القطاع.

 

وأفادت وكالة سند للأنباء أن الصحفي أبو شربي استشهد خلال استهداف مباشر نفذته طائرات الاحتلال قرب كلية التدريب في مجمع أنصار الحكومي غرب مدينة غزة، ما أسفر عن ارتقاء خمسة شهداء، بينهم سيدة وطفل، إلى جانب عدد من الجرحى.

 

ويأتي هذا الاستهداف في سياق العدوان الصهيوني المتواصل على قطاع غزة، الذي لم يتوقف عن قصف المدنيين والمؤسسات الإعلامية، في محاولة لإسكات الحقيقة وطمس جرائم الحرب بحق شعب أعزل يتعرض للتجويع والقتل الجماعي.
