#Raqqa | Mass Arrests and Terrorizing of Residents in Al-Mashlab Neighborhood

At 1:30 AM on Saturday, July 5th, the SDF militia launched a violent and sudden raid in the Al-Mashlab neighborhood of Raqqa city, resulting in the arrest of four brothers from the Al-Buhamid clan:

Luay Ali Al-Ahmed
Hussein Ali Al-Ahmed
Bassam Ali Al-Ahmed

According to local sources, the arrests stemmed from a comment posted on activist Suhaib Al-Yaarabi's page concerning the detained civilian Bassam Ali Al-Ahmed, as well as his recent visit to his aunt's house in the town of Suluk, north of Raqqa. This was used as justification for storming the family home.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the raiding force used abusive language and threats, creating a state of panic and terror among the women and children, showing no respect for the sanctity of the home.

Important note: Sources indicated the presence of a masked individual within the force, believed to be a local resident, who knew the house and its inhabitants intimately. This raises questions about the involvement of some civilians in informing on and violating the SDF's position.

ووفقاً لمصادر محلية، فإن عملية الاعتقال جاءت على خلفية تعليقٍ نُشر على صفحة الناشط صهيب اليعربي يتعلّق بالمعتقل المدني بسام علي الأحمد، إضافة إلى زيارته الأخيرة لمنزل عمته في بلدة سلوك شمال الرقة، ما اعتُبر مبررًا لاقتحام منزل العائلة.
شهود عيان أكدوا أن القوة المداهمة مارست ألفاظًا نابية وتهديدات، وأثارت حالة من الذعر والهلع بين النساء والأطفال، دون أدنى مراعاة لحرمة المنزل.
ملاحظة هامة: أشارت المصادر إلى وجود شخص ملثم ضمن القوة، يُعتقد أنه من أبناء الحي، وكان يعرف المنزل وسكانه بشكل دقيق، مما يثير تساؤلات حول تورط بعض المدنيين في عمليات الدلالة والانتهاك لصالح قسد.
