In a precise and well-executed operation, our forces dismantled a dangerous ISIS cell in Raqqa.

On Friday, the Transit Operations Teams (TOLs) of our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), carried out a precise and well-executed security operation targeting a dangerous ISIS terrorist cell that was planning attacks against our forces and security forces in the region.

The operation took place in the Raqqa area. After meticulous and continuous monitoring of the cell's terrorist activities, their hideouts were identified. Our forces then imposed a tight cordon around them and were able to arrest four dangerous members of the cell:

1. The terrorist known as Hamza Omar al-Khalaf, nicknamed Abu Omar.

2. The terrorist known as Ahmed Ali al-Ahmad, nicknamed Abu Amer.

3. The terrorist known as Bassam Ali al-Ahmad, nicknamed Abu Ali.

4. The terrorist known as Hussein Ali al-Ahmad, nicknamed Hassoun. During initial confessions, members of the terrorist cell confirmed carrying out several terrorist acts, including targeting Internal Security Forces in Raqqa city and its countryside, resulting in the martyrdom of a number of Internal Security Forces personnel. They confessed that after carrying out the terrorist operation, they fled to the areas of Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ayn, which are under the control of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

The members of the terrorist cell also confessed that they were planning to carry out further terrorist operations in areas of northern and eastern Syria, specifically targeting the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Internal Security Forces, service institutions, and civilians. They confirmed that they were receiving military support, including weapons and ammunition, from the occupied areas of northern Syria, and confessed to receiving 500 kilograms of TNT to target SDF positions. However, all the terrorist cell's plans failed due to the vigilance of our forces, who were able to arrest all its members.

Our forces affirm that they will continue their security and military operations to pursue the remnants of the terrorist organization's cells and will thwart all their plans to destabilize the security and stability of our regions.

نفذت فرق العمليات العسكرية (TOL) التابعة لقواتنا، قوات سوريا الديمقراطية، أول أمس، الجمعة، عملية أمنية محكمة ودقيقة استهدفت خلية إرهابية خطيرة لتنظيم “داعش” الإرهابي، كانت تعمل على استهداف قواتنا والقوى الأمنية في المنطقة.
العملية جرت في منطقة الرقة، وبعد عمليات رصد دقيقة ومستمرة للنشاطات الإرهابية للخلية، تم تحديد أماكن اختبائها، ففرضت قواتنا طوقاً محكماً عليهم، وتمكنت من إلقاء القبض على أربعة عناصر خطيرة للخلية، وهم كل من:
1 – الإرهابي المدعو “حمزة عمر الخلف” الملقب بـ”أبي عمر”.
2 – الإرهابي المدعو “أحمد علي الأحمد” الملقب بـ”أبي عامر”.
3 – الإرهابي المدعو “بسام علي الأحمد” الملقب بـ”أبي علي”.
4 – الإرهابي المدعو “حسين علي الأحمد” الملقب بـ”حسون”.
وخلال اعترافات أولية لعناصر الخلية الإرهابية، أكدوا قيامهم بعدة أعمال إرهابية، منها استهدافهم لقوى الأمن الداخلي داخل مدينة الرقة وريفها، حيث تسبب في استشهاد عدد من عناصر قوى الأمن الداخلي، واعترفوا أنهم بعد تنفيذ العملية الإرهابية فروا إلى مناطق تل أبيض ورأس العين الواقعة تحت سيطرة الاحتلال التركي ومرتزقته.
اعترف عناصر الخلية الإرهابية أيضاً أنهم كانوا يخططون لتنفيذ مزيد من العمليات الإرهابية في مناطق شمال وشرق سوريا، وخاصة استهداف قوات سوريا الديمقراطية وقوى الأمن الداخلي والمؤسسات الخدمية وأيضاً المدنيين، وأكدوا أنهم كانوا يتلقون الدعم العسكري، من أسلحة وذخيرة، من المناطق المحتلة شمال سوريا، واعترفوا أنهم تلقوا /500/ كيلو غرام من مادة الـ(TNT) ليستهدفوا بها نقاط قوات سوريا الديمقراطية. إلا أن جميع مخططات الخلية الإرهابية باءت بالفشل نتيجة يقظة قواتنا وتمكنها من اعتقال جميع عناصرها.
وتؤكد قواتنا أنها ستواصل عملياتها الأمنية والعسكرية لملاحقة فلول خلايا التنظيم الإرهابي، وستحبط كافة مخططاتهم لزعزعة أمن واستقرار مناطقنا.
