Published On 22/6/2025 | Last updated: 02:58 (Mecca Time) The personal bodyguard of former Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah was killed on Saturday in an Israeli strike in Iran near the Iraqi border. A Hezbollah official and an officer in the Iraqi border guard confirmed the death of Hussein Khalil, Nasrallah's bodyguard, and an Iraqi member of the Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada (Brigades of the Master of Martyrs) faction, in an Israeli drone strike after they entered Iran. Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada spokesman Kazem al-Fartousi confirmed the death of "the faction's leader, Haider al-Moussawi," along with Hussein Khalil and his son, Mahdi Khalil. Hussein Khalil, nicknamed "Abu Ali," was known as Nasrallah's "shield" before Nasrallah was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike on Beirut's southern suburbs on September 27, 2014, during the last open war between Israel and Hezbollah. Khalil had been Nasrallah's shadow for many years and was always by his side or behind him during his public appearances. The two men were also related by blood, as one of Khalil's sons is married to Nasrallah's granddaughter. Khalil appeared during Nasrallah's funeral procession, standing on a hearse that struggled through the crowds last February, five months after his assassination. Since the start of the Israeli attacks on Iran on June 13, Iranian drones and missiles, as well as Israeli fighter jets, have been flying through Iraqi airspace, forcing Iraq to close its airspace and intensify its efforts to prevent the fighting from spilling over into its territory.

Published On 22/6/2025|آخر تحديث: 02:58 (توقيت مكة)قتل الحارس الشخصي للأمين العام السابق لحزب الله اللبناني حسن نصر الله -أمس السبت- في ضربة إسرائيلية في إيران قرب الحدود العراقية.وأكد مسؤول في حزب الله وضابط في جهاز حرس الحدود العراقي مقتل حسين خليل الحارس الشخصي لنصر الله وعنصر عراقي في فصيل "كتائب سيد الشهداء" العراقي "في ضربة لمسيرة إسرائيلية" بعد دخولهما إيران.وأكّد المتحدث باسم "كتائب سيد الشهداء" كاظم الفرطوسي مقتل "القيادي في الفصيل حيدر الموسوي" إلى جانب حسين خليل وابنه مهدي خليل.ولقب حسين خليل بـ"أبو علي"، وكان يعرف بكونه "درع" نصر الله الذي اغتيل في غارة إسرائيلية على الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت في 27 سبتمبر/أيلول عام 2024، خلال الحرب المفتوحة الأخيرة بين إسرائيل وحزب الله.وكان خليل بمنزلة ظل نصر الله منذ سنوات طويلة ولطالما وقف قربه أو خلفه خلال إطلالاته العامة في المناسبات الحزبية.وجمعت الرجلين كذلك صلة قرابة، إذ إن أحد أبناء خليل متزوج من حفيدة نصر الله.وظهر خليل خلال يوم تشييع نصر الله وهو يقف على متن عربة حملت نعشه وشقت طريقها بصعوبة بين الحشود في فبراير/شباط الماضي بعد 5 أشهر من مقتله.منذ بدء الهجمات الإسرائيلية على إيران في 13 يونيو/حزيران، تعبر المسيّرات والصواريخ الإيرانية وكذلك المقاتلات الإسرائيلية في الأجواء العراقية، ما أجبر العراق على إغلاق مجاله الجوي وتكثيف جهوده لمنع انتقال المواجهات الى أراضيه.
