On Dec. 18, Coalition military forces conducted eight strikes against ISIL terrorists in Syria and Iraq. In Syria, Coalition military forces conducted four strikes using attack, bomber, and fighter aircraft against ISIL targets. Additionally in Iraq, Coalition military forces conducted four strikes coordinated with and in support of the government of Iraq using attack, bomber, fighter, and remotely piloted aircraft as well as rocket artillery against ISIL targets.

Syria

* Near Al Shadaddi, one strike engaged an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed three fighting positions.

* Near Ar Raqqah, two strikes engaged two ISIL tactical units and destroyed two fighting positions.

* Near Ayn Isa, one strike engaged an ISIL tactical unit.

Iraq

* Near Mosul, four strikes [1 British] engaged two ISIL tactical units; destroyed six fighting positions, three ISIL-held buildings, two vehicles, an ISIL headquarters building, a media center, a land bridge, a tunnel, a bunker, a front-end loader, and a mortar system; damaged five supply routes and a tunnel; and suppressed four tactical units and a mortar system.
