I bring you the news of the martyrdom of our neighbor and friend, Mr. Basel Al-Najjar, along with his entire family. Abu Qais, along with his wife, the educator Umm Qais, his daughter Saba, and his son Qais, have all perished under the rubble of their homes. May God accept you into His vast Paradise, my friend Abu Qais. He and his wife had a great influence on my children's education.

My heart aches and breaks. We entrust our affairs to God, the best of guardians.
O God, have mercy on our loved ones and families.
