The Al-Mabarrat Charitable Association mourned the passing of Dr. Sayyid Muhammad Reda Fadlallah, President of the Lebanese University of Sciences and Arts (USAL), who was martyred along with his wife, Mrs. Fatima Sayyid Ali al-Hakim, as a result of the aggression against the southern suburbs of Beirut.
In a statement, the association said: "With hearts filled with sorrow, yet with patient and resigned souls, we mourn the martyr of knowledge and education, the esteemed educator, Dr. Sayyid Muhammad Reda Fadlallah, an intellectual figure who dedicated his life to building minds." The statement also highlighted his academic and familial standing, noting that he was the son of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Abdul Raouf Fadlallah and the brother of several deceased scholars, including Sayyid Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah. The statement added that Fadlallah “ascended to martyrdom, unjustly killed along with his wife, after the treacherous hand of Zionism reached them inside their home during the aggression against the southern suburbs.”

نعت جمعية المبرّات الخيرية رئيس جامعة العلوم والآداب اللبنانية (USAL) الدكتور السيد محمد رضا فضل الله، الذي استُـ.ـشهد مع زوجته السيدة فاطمة السيد علي الحكيم، جراء العـ.ـدوان على الضـ.ـاحية الجنوبية.
وقالت الجمعية في بيان: “بقلوبٍ يعتصرها الألم، ونفوسٍ صابرة محتسبة، ننعى إليكم شهـ.ـيد العلم والتربية، المربي الجليل الدكتور السيد محمد رضا فضل الله، القامة الفكرية التي نذرت حياتها لبناء العقول”. وأشارت إلى مكانته العلمية والعائلية، كونه نجل آية الله العظمى السيد عبد الرؤوف فضل الله، وشقيق عدد من العلماء الراحلين، بينهم السيد محمد حسين فضل الله.
وأضاف البيان أن فضل الله “ارتقى شـ..ـهيدًا مظـ.ـلومًا مع زوجته، بعدما طالتهما يد الغـ.ـدر الصهـ.ـيونية داخل منزلهما، خلال العـ.ـدوان على الضـ.ـاحية الجنوبية”.
وأوضحت الجمعية أن مراسم الدفن ستُقام في روضة الشهـ.ـيدين- الغبيري، عند الساعة الواحدة من بعد ظهر اليوم.
