The Democratic Journalists' Assembly: We mourn with great sadness and sorrow the martyred journalist colleague Amal Shamali, correspondent for Qatar Radio, who ascended to the highest ranks as a result of a treacherous bombing that targeted the tents of displaced people in the town of Al-Zawaida in the central Gaza Strip, at a time when the world celebrates "International Women's Day" (March 8), so that the Palestinian journalist offered her blood as a price for the free word and wrote with her pain the highest meanings of sacrifice on her international day.

التجمع الصحفي الديمقراطي: ننعى ببالغ الحزن والأسى الزميلة الصحفية الشهيدة أمال شمالي مراسلة راديو قطر والتي ارتقت إلى العلياء إثر قصف غادر استهدف خيام النازحين في بلدة الزوايدة وسط قطاع غزة في وقتٍ يحتفي فيه العالم بـ "يوم المرأة العالمي" (الثامن من آذار) لتُقدم الصحفية الفلسطينية دمها ضريبةً للكلمة الحرة وتسطر بآلامها أسمى معاني التضحية في يومها العالمي.
