Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation announced on Saturday that Kuwait International Airport was attacked by a drone, resulting in injuries to several employees and minor material damage.

Kuwaiti authorities did not specify the origin of the drone, but the incident occurred amid escalating regional tensions.

The Directorate's statement read: "A drone targeted Kuwait International Airport, resulting in minor injuries to several employees, in addition to limited material damage."

The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) confirmed the injuries and limited damage, noting that the relevant authorities are handling the incident.

ولم تحدد السلطات الكويتية مصدر الطائرة المسيرة، لكن الحادث جاء في سياق تصاعد التوترات الإقليمية.

وقال بيان الهيئة: "طائرة مسيّرة استهدفت مطار الكويت الدولي مما أسفر عن وقوع إصابات طفيفة بين عدد من العاملين، إضافة إلى أضرار مادية محدودة".
