My brother and beloved friend, the lawyer Mu'tasim Maher Khamis Faris, has passed away to God's mercy, a martyr by His permission.

O God, his soul is in Your hands, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful. O God, have mercy on him with Your vast mercy and accept him as a martyr, patient, steadfast, and fasting during these last ten days of Ramadan. To God belongs what He takes and to God belongs what He gives, and all praise is due to God, the praise of the patient and monotheistic believers.

إن العين لتدمع، وإن القلب ليحزن، وإنا على فراقك لمحزونون،ولا نقول إلا ما يرضى ربنا إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون
