According to the ANA news agency, in the first days of the Third Imposed War, we witnessed the American-Zionist crime in the city of Lamerd. That is why Hashemi, a documentary maker, made a documentary in collaboration with the Evin Institute titled The Final Whistle.
Hashemi said about how this documentary was made: The fact is that our city has never had a history of such an event. It was completely unimaginable that such an event would happen here. That day, we first heard a sound. At first, we thought it was an ordinary explosion; because we were far away. But when we went to the place, a column of smoke was visible. Fires had broken out in several parts of the city. Later, it became clear that the issue was not just a fire.
He continued: In the next stages, we visited the hospital and various parts of the city. It gradually became clear that the issue was a precise missile attack; an attack that unfortunately had the nature of causing mass casualties. The type of ammunition was also special; something that had never been seen before in the region and was being used for the first time. Its effects also showed that we were dealing with an unusual weapon. Unfortunately, a number of citizens also died.
The documentary maker stated: At least four students were martyred; as well as several elderly people. We met with the families of the martyrs from the beginning. Each of these families really had special and great personalities. One example was a martyr who had been returning home at a specific time every day for years; without exception. That day, he happened to forget to register his departure at the company and returned at midnight for a fingerprint check… and that’s when the incident occurred.
He added: “From the very first hours, we tried to proceed step by step; from recording images, collecting narratives, attending the hospital, meeting families, and going to the site of the missile strike. We examined point by point. It turned out that the type of missile was not destructive at all; that is, it did not destroy the building, but its wave and thermal effect had caused extensive damage over a large radius. Even the windows of houses that were a kilometer away had collapsed; Cars were burned and there were many injured.
Hashemi continued, pointing to the area, which was completely residential: The sports hall was also near the same spot. Children were playing. Even some teenagers are still scared about the incident. One of the children thought it was lightning when he saw the light in the sky and ran away. The remnants of that fear are still visible in their behavior.
The documentary maker said: The documentary begins with children playing in the sports hall. We had a picture of a teenager practicing volleyball; the ball falls from his hand, the whistle blows for the end of practice… and right at that moment, the first missile hits.
That is why we named the documentary “The Final Whistle.”
He noted: "We would like the audience to understand when they watch this documentary that this incident occurred in a completely residential area; where families, children, and teenagers lived. We hope that the documentary can present a clear picture of the reality of the incident and the suffering of the people of Lamerd; without exaggeration, without slogans; only the truth."

هاشمی درباره چگونگی ساخت این مستند گفت: واقعیت این است که شهر ما هیچ‌وقت سابقه چنین اتفاقی را نداشت. اصلاً قابل تصور نبود که چنین رویدادی اینجا بیفتد. آن روز، ابتدا یک صدا شنیدیم. اول فکر کردیم انفجار معمولی است؛ چون فاصله‌مان زیاد بود. اما وقتی به سمت محل رفتیم، ستون دود معلوم بود. در چند نقطه شهر آتش‌سوزی رخ داده بود. بعدتر مشخص شد که موضوع فقط آتش‌سوزی نیست.
وی ادامه داد: در مراحل بعدی، از بیمارستان و نقاط مختلف شهر بازدید کردیم. کم‌کم مشخص شد که موضوع یک حمله دقیق موشکی بوده؛ حمله‌ای که متأسفانه ماهیتش به سمت ایجاد تلفات جمعی رفته بود. نوع مهمات هم خاص بود؛ چیزی که قبلاً در منطقه سابقه نداشت و برای اولین بار از آن استفاده می‌شد. اثرات آن هم نشان می‌داد که با یک سلاح غیرمعمول روبه‌رو هستیم. متأسفانه تعدادی از شهروندان هم جان باختند.
این مستند ساز عنوان کرد: دست‌کم چهار دانش‌آموز شهید شدند؛ همین‌طور چند سالمند. ما از ابتدا با خانواده شهدا دیدار کردیم. هرکدام از این خانواده‌ها واقعاً شخصیت‌های خاص و بزرگی داشتند. یک نمونه‌اش شهیدی بود که سال‌هاست هر روز سر یک ساعت مشخص به خانه برمی‌گشته؛ بدون استثنا. همان روز اتفاقاً یادش می‌رود خروجش را در شرکت ثبت کند و نیمه‌شب برمی‌گردد برای انگشت‌زنی… و همان زمان حادثه رخ می‌دهد.
وی افزود: از همان ساعات نخست سعی کردیم قدم‌به‌قدم پیش برویم؛ از ثبت تصاویر، جمع‌آوری روایت‌ها، حضور در بیمارستان، دیدار با خانواده‌ها و رفتن به محل اصابت موشک‌ها. نقطه‌به‌نقطه بررسی کردیم. مشخص شد که نوع موشک اصلاً تخریبی نبود؛ یعنی ساختمان را تخریب نمی‌کرد، اما موج و اثر حرارتی‌اش تا شعاع زیادی آسیب گسترده ایجاد کرده بود. حتی شیشه‌های خانه‌هایی که یک کیلومتر دورتر بودند فرو ریخته بود؛ ماشین‌ها سوخته بودند و زخمی‌ها زیاد بودند.
هاشمی با اشاره به منطقه که کاملاً مسکونی بود ادامه داد: سالن ورزشی هم نزدیک همان نقطه بود. بچه‌ها در حال بازی بودند. حتی برخی از نوجوان‌ها هنوز بابت آن حادثه دچار ترس هستند. یکی از بچه‌ها همان لحظه با دیدن نور آسمان فکر کرده بود رعد و برق است و فرار کرده بود. هنوز ته‌مانده آن ترس در رفتارشان پیداست.
این مستند ساز بیان کرد: شروع مستند با بازی بچه‌ها در سالن ورزشی است. ما تصویری داشتیم از یک نوجوان که داشت والیبال تمرین می‌کرد؛ توپ از دستش می‌افتد، سوت پایان تمرین زده می‌شود… و درست همان لحظه، اولین موشک برخورد می‌کند.
به همین دلیل نام مستند را «سوت پایان» گذاشتیم.
وی خاطرنشان کرد: دوست داریم وقتی مخاطب این مستند را می‌بیند، بفهمد این اتفاق در یک منطقه کاملاً مسکونی رخ داده؛ جایی که خانواده‌ها، کودکان و نوجوان‌ها زندگی می‌کردند. امیدواریم مستند بتواند تصویر روشنی از واقعیت حادثه و رنج مردم لامرد ارائه دهد؛ بدون بزرگ‌نمایی، بدون شعار؛ فقط حقیقت.
