The enemy first attacked the Mobarakeh Steel Plant in Isfahan and the Khuzestan Steel Plant on April 27 and then on April 11, which led to the cessation of these centers’ activities.
The Axin Steel Plant in Ahvaz and the Sefidasht Farkhunde Steel Complex in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari were also targeted. دشمن ابتدا هفتم فروردین و سپس یازدهم فروردین به کارخانه‌های فولاد مبارکه اصفهان و فولاد خوزستان حمله کرد که به توقف فعالیت این مراکز انجامید.
فولاد اکسین اهواز و مجتمع فولاد سفیددشت فرخنده شهر چهارمحال و بختیاری نیز هدف قرار گرفت. برآورد اولیه حاکی از آن است که بازسازی و ورود فولاد مبارکه اصفهان به مدار تولید بین دو تا سه سال زمان می‌برد. فولاد خوزستان نیز شش ماه تا یک سال فرصت نیاز دارد تا بازسازی شود.ایران دهمین تولیدکننده بزرگ فولاد جهان است که در سال ۲۰۲۵ تولید سالانه فولاد خام ایران حدود ۳۱.۸ میلیون تن برآورد شده است.
