Israeli Paramedic Yehuda Shlome, one of the first to arrive at the scene of a direct missile strike in Beit Shemesh, described hearing a loud explosion and seeing severe destruction, smoke and panic.

"I noticed a woman, about 30, approaching me very agitated with significant limb injuries.

I calmed her down and began providing initial treatment on site. Within minutes, additional MDA teams arrived, and I evacuated her to hospital in serious but stable condition."

Another MDA medic, Tzvi David, said:

"When we arrived, we saw houses with extensive damage, collapsed trees and all the windows in the area shattered. A woman in her 60s was trapped under a piece of concrete and called for help. Together with other MDA volunteers, we lifted the piece and extricated her to a mobile intensive care unit. Later, civilians signalled to us that three children were trapped in a closed room. Together with firefighting forces, we rescued them and provided medical treatment."

The children were evacuated in mild condition.
