Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued his first reaction to the elimination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stating:

"Yesterday we eliminated Khamenei, the arch‑terrorist, along with dozens of the regime's senior officials.

Our forces are now operating in the heart of Tehran, with growing intensity, and this will only increase in the coming days."

Netanyahu acknowledged the cost, saying:

"These are painful days. Yesterday here in Tel Aviv, and now in Beit Shemesh, we have lost dear people."


He offered condolences to the families and sent wishes for recovery to the wounded.

The prime minister highlighted the unprecedented power brought to the campaign, combined with US support, stating:

"This combination allows us to do what I have aspired to do for 40 years—to topple the terrorist regime that rises against us.

This is what I promised, and this is what we will do."
