The official spokesperson for Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) and Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC), Ghanem Al-Otaibi, stated that some debris fell at the Al-Ahmadi Refinery early Monday morning, resulting in minor injuries to two workers.

Al-Otaibi explained that the incident was dealt with immediately according to established safety and security procedures. The injured workers were transferred to Al-Adan Hospital to receive the necessary medical care. He confirmed that both are currently in stable condition and are under medical observation.

Al-Otaibi emphasized that the refinery's operational and production processes were unaffected and experienced no disruptions. Emergency teams immediately began their duties upon the incident and activated the rapid response plan, taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of workers and facilities. No material damage was reported. He affirmed that the Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery is operating at full capacity, with the utmost priority given to the safety of its personnel at all sites.

وأوضح العتيبي أنه تم التعامل الفوري مع الحادث وفق إجراءات الأمن والسلامة المعتمدة، حيث جرى نقل المصابين إلى مستشفى العدان لتلقى الرعاية الطبية اللازمة، مؤكداً أن الحالتين مستقرتان حالياً وتخضعان للمتابعة الطبية.
وشدد العتيبي على أن العمليات التشغيلية والإنتاجية في المصفاة لم تتأثر ولم تشهد أي تعطّل حيث باشرت فرق الطوارئ مهامها فور وقوع الحادث وفعّلت خطة الاستجابة السريعة، مع اتخاذ كافة الإجراءات الاحترازية لضمان سلامة العاملين والمنشآت التي لم تسجل أي أضرار مادية، مؤكداً أن مصفاة ميناء الأحمدي تعمل بكامل طاقتها المعتادة، مع إيلاء الأولوية القصوى لسلامة كوادرها في جميع المواقع.
