The mayor of Nabi Chit, Abbas Ali Shukr, issued an urgent appeal to the relevant authorities, demanding information on the fate of retired General Security Captain Ahmad Ali Shukr (Ahmad Ali Daher Shukr), who has been missing since yesterday afternoon in the central Bekaa Valley. There is a complete lack of information clarifying what happened to him.

In an official statement, Mayor Shukr called on President Joseph Aoun, Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and the Ministers of Interior and Defense to intervene immediately to follow up on the case, given the growing anxiety among the missing man's family and the townspeople due to the ambiguity surrounding his disappearance.

The statement indicated that the relevant security agencies were notified immediately after contact was lost, and called for intensified search and investigation efforts and a broader security operation to uncover the circumstances and determine his whereabouts as soon as possible. The appeal concluded by emphasizing the need to deal with the issue with the utmost seriousness and transparency, in order to preserve security and stability, and to alleviate the state of anticipation and anxiety experienced by the family and the townspeople, in the hope of reaching clear results soon.

في بيان رسمي، دعا المختار شكر رئيس الجمهورية جوزاف عون، ورئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري، ورئيس الحكومة نواف سلام، ووزيرَي الداخلية والدفاع، إلى التدخّل السريع لمتابعة القضية، في ظل القلق المتزايد الذي يخيّم على عائلة المفقود وأهالي البلدة نتيجة الغموض المحيط بحادثة الاختفاء.
أشار البيان إلى أنّ الجهات الأمنية المختصة جرى إبلاغها فور انقطاع الاتصال، مطالبًا بتكثيف عمليات البحث والتحقيق وتوسيع نطاق المتابعة الأمنية لكشف الملابسات وتحديد مكان وجوده في أقرب وقت.
واختُتم النداء بالتأكيد على ضرورة التعامل مع القضية بأقصى درجات الجدية والشفافية، حفاظًا على الأمن والاستقرار، وتخفيفًا لحالة الترقّب والقلق التي تعيشها العائلة وأبناء البلدة، على أمل الوصول إلى نتائج واضحة في وقت قريب.
