Oman: Two Killed in Drone Attack Targeting Sohar

Two people were killed and others injured today when a suicide drone crashed in the Al-Awahi Industrial Area in Sohar, northern Oman. This security development reflects the dangerous escalation of indiscriminate military activity in the region.

Security sources confirmed that two drones crashed in the area. The first struck a gathering of expatriate workers, causing casualties, while the second crashed in an open area without causing any material or human damage.

This incident follows a series of attacks targeting vital installations in the Sultanate, including a drone attack on fuel tanks at the Port of Salalah in Dhofar Governorate, and the interception of several other drones by air defenses.

Authorities also detected the crash of a drone into the sea off the coast of Duqm, indicating a widening scope of threats aimed at destabilizing strategic shipping lanes and vital energy facilities. It is worth noting that these operations fall within Tehran's escalation strategy of using suicide drones to target safe countries and international waterways, in an attempt to export its military and political crises to neighboring states. Tehran resorts to "cross-border terrorism" as a tool for pressure and blackmail, thus placing the security of the entire region at the mercy of Iranian ambitions and reckless actions that make no distinction between military targets and civilian infrastructure.

عُمان: قتيلان في هجوم بمسيرتين استهدف ولاية "صُحار"

لقي شخصان حتفهما وأصيب آخرون بجروح، اليوم، جراء سقوط طائرة مسيرة انتحارية استهدفت منطقة "صناعية العوهي" بولاية صُحار شمال سلطنة عُمان، في تطور أمني يعكس خطورة التصعيد العسكري العشوائي في المنطقة.
وأكدت المصادر الأمنية سقوط مسيرتين في الولاية؛ حيث أصابت الأولى تجمعاً للعمالة الوافدة مخلفةً ضحايا وإصابات، فيما سقطت الثانية في منطقة مفتوحة دون تسجيل أضرار مادية أو بشرية.
​ويأتي هذا الحادث عقب سلسلة استهدافات طالت منشآت حيوية في السلطنة، شملت هجوماً بمسيرة على خزانات الوقود في ميناء صلالة بمحافظة ظفار، واعتراض الدفاعات الجوية لعدد من المسيرات الأخرى.
كما رصدت الأجهزة المختصة سقوط طائرة مسيرة في البحر قبالة ولاية الدقم، مما يشير إلى اتساع رقعة التهديدات التي تهدف إلى زعزعة استقرار الممرات الملاحية الاستراتيجية ومنشآت الطاقة الحيوية.
​جدير بالذكر ان هذه العمليات تندرج ضمن نهج التصعيد الذي تتبعه طهران عبر استخدام المسيرات الانتحارية لاستهداف الدول الآمنة والممرات المائية الدولية، في محاولة لتصدير أزماتها العسكرية والسياسية إلى دول الجوار. وتلجأ طهران إلى سلاح "الإرهاب العابر للحدود" كأداة للضغط والابتزاز، مما يضع أمن المنطقة برمتها في مهب الأطماع والمقامرات الإيرانية التي لا تميز بين الأهداف العسكرية والمنشآت المدنية.
