2 Indian nationals were killed and 10 others injured in a drone attack in Sohar, the government said on Friday. The strike reportedly hit the Al-Awahi industrial area, leaving several foreign workers injured.

Aseem Mahajan from the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed the casualties, adding that five injured Indians have been discharged while the others are undergoing treatment.

Indian authorities are coordinating with local officials and the company involved to assist the victims and arrange repatriation of the deceased. Officials also said India currently has no shortage of fuel supplies despite rising tensions in West Asia.
