The Iranian armed forces announced on Saturday, March 28, 2026, that they had targeted a US logistics vessel off the coast of the Omani port of Salalah.

Iranian Armed Forces Central Command spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaghari stated that his forces "targeted a logistics vessel supporting the aggressive US military, at a considerable distance from the port of Salalah in Oman."

This came after Omani authorities announced that the port had been attacked by two drones, resulting in one person being injured and "limited" damage.
